Contract Manufacturing

I have an idea for a product, but I don't know where to start. Can you help?

Yes. Many customers come to us with a concept, performance goal, or problem they’re trying to solve rather than a finished formula. Our in-house chemists can help guide the development process, evaluate requirements, and determine a practical path toward a product that can be manufactured at scale.

Can you improve or reformulate an existing product?

Yes. Chemical contract manufacturing can begin with an existing product or formulation that needs improvement. Our team can evaluate your requirements and work with you on formulation changes intended to meet your product and production objectives.

How do you know if a formulation will actually work at scale?

We consider scalability as part of the development process, not only after a formulation is complete. Our manufacturing experience allows us to consider practical production requirements as a product moves through formulation and testing toward full-scale manufacturing.

What types of products can you develop and manufacture?

Superior Manufacturing has experience with chemical products across a range of industrial applications. Contact our team with your product concept, intended application, performance requirements, and other specifications so we can determine whether our chemical contract manufacturing services fit the project.

Can you handle production after the formula is finalized?

Yes. We can handle development and manufacturing under one roof, allowing the project to move from formulation and testing to blending, packaging, and documentation without changing manufacturing partners.

If you already have a finalized formula and primarily need a partner to manufacture it to your specifications, our Toll Blending service may be a better starting point.

How is contract manufacturing different from private labeling?

Contract manufacturing suits companies that need support developing, improving, and manufacturing a product based on their specific requirements. Private Label offers a different path, including access to Superior Manufacturing’s established formulations that you can bring to market under your brand.

The right approach depends on how far along your product is and how much formulation and development support it requires.

Coating & Sealers

What's the difference between epoxy and urethane coatings, and how do I know which one I need?

Epoxy coatings excel in heavy-traffic, chemical-exposed environments and bond exceptionally well to concrete, steel, and wood. Urethane coatings handle thermal shock and temperature swings better — making them the preferred choice in food processing, commercial kitchens, and freeze-thaw environments. When in doubt, call us — we'll point you in the right direction.

Can these coatings be applied to damp surfaces?

Our cementitious urethane systems are specifically designed to tolerate damp substrates during installation. Epoxy systems vary — some require dry surfaces, others can be applied to damp concrete. We'll spec the right product for your actual job site conditions.

Are your coatings compliant with USDA/FDA requirements for food facilities?

Yes. Our Thermostable urethane coating system meets all USDA/FDA guidelines for use in federally inspected facilities and carries no VOCs, making it a safe and compliant choice for food and beverage operations.

Patches & Crack Fillers

Can I patch concrete that's wet or contaminated with oil and grease?

Yes — that's exactly what several of our systems are built for. Our Damp Concrete Patch and Chemical Resistant Patch formulas cure on damp concrete (standing water must be removed) and can be used in areas contaminated with animal fats and petroleum oils.

How fast can I get the area back into service after patching?

It depends on the product and conditions. Several of our systems support light traffic within hours, with full heavy-traffic loads in 12–24 hours. Our Freeze Patch, designed for extreme cold, is ready for light traffic in as little as 2–4 hours.

Do I need a contractor or special equipment to apply these patches?

No. Our Ranger Patch systems come in pre-measured kits specifically designed to minimize guesswork and waste. They're built for efficient field application without specialized tools or training.

What types of repair applications are these products designed for?

Our patch and crack repair products are designed for concrete floors, loading docks, parking lots, walkways, and other high-traffic surfaces where durability matters.

How quickly can repaired areas be returned to service?

Many of our repair systems are designed for fast turnaround, helping customers minimize downtime and get operations back up and running quickly.

What makes these products a strong addition to my product offering?

Concrete damage is a problem every facility eventually faces. Crack fillers and repair products are practical, recurring maintenance purchases that help customers extend the life of their floors, docks, and paved surfaces while avoiding costly replacements.

Rock-Tred® Products

Where do Rock-Tred® systems perform best?

They’re commonly used in food processing, manufacturing, and facilities with heavy chemical exposure or frequent cleaning cycles.

Can these systems handle wet or washdown environments?

Yes. Many are designed specifically for moisture, slip resistance, and environments that see constant water or cleaning.

How do I know which system I need?

These aren’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll look at your environment, traffic, and exposure to recommend the right system.

Metalworking Fluids

What type of coolant do I need — synthetic, semi-synthetic, or soluble oil?

It depends on your metals, machines, and operations. Synthetics work well across a broad range of machining and grinding applications. Semi-synthetics and soluble oils provide different lubricity and cooling properties for specific metals and cut types. We offer a selection survey to get the right match — no guessing.

Can one coolant handle multiple operations in my shop?

Often, yes. Our synthetic machining and grinding coolants are formulated for general-purpose use across turning, drilling, milling, tapping, sawing, and grinding — making them a strong choice for shops that want to simplify their fluid inventory.

How do I prevent rust on parts between operations?

We offer rust preventative fluids specifically designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals during storage and shipment. Whether you need short-term outdoor protection or long-term indoor storage coverage, we have the right product.

What lubricants do you offer for industrial equipment and machinery?

We carry a full range: chain and cable lubricants, hydraulic oils, compressor oils, gear oils, air tool lubricants, spindle and turbine oils, and stamping and forming lubricants. If it moves in your facility, we have something to keep it moving.

Do you offer food-grade lubricants?

Yes. We carry food-grade propylene glycol and food-grade oils for applications where incidental food contact is a concern — fully compliant for use in food processing environments.

My equipment has very specific oil requirements — can you match that?

We can. Compressor oils in particular need to match the equipment's model specifications. Our team works with you to identify the correct match rather than offering a generic substitute that could cause equipment issues.

What types of metalworking fluids are available?

Our product line includes coolants, cutting fluids, grinding fluids, and rust preventatives used across a wide range of machining and manufacturing operations.

What industries commonly use these products?

Metalworking fluids are used by machine shops, manufacturers, fabricators, automotive suppliers, aerospace companies, and precision machining operations.

Why are metalworking fluids a valuable product line to carry?

These products directly impact tool life, machining performance, and part quality. Because they're consumed regularly, customers reorder consistently when they find a fluid they trust.
